2.04.010 Hours for furnishing city services-Office hours generally.

All city offices and departments, except as provided in Sections 2.04.020 to 2.04.060 of this chapter, and except as may otherwise be determined by the city manager or designee, shall remain open for the transaction of business in the city, continuously from eight a.m. until five p.m. on each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, holidays excepted. 2.04.020 Essential public services.

The city manager shall provide for the furnishing of all essential public services which are necessary for the protection of persons or property on a continuous basis during each day of the week. (Prior code § 2.01.020)

2.04.030 Public utilities.

The city manager shall provide for the furnishing to the public of such public utilities services as are necessary and convenient for the public welfare and also for the protection of persons and property on a continuous basis, without interruption, during each day of the week. (Prior code § 2.01.030)

2.04.040 Stand-by call services.

The city manager shall also provide for the furnishing of stand-by call services to relieve the effects of accidents happening on city property, or the failure of any utilities on public property, on a continuous basis, without interruption, at such times as such services may be needed. (Prior code § 2.01.040)

2.04.050 Educational and recreational services.

The city manager may also provide that those departments furnishing educational and recreational services to the public on days and at hours other than mentioned in Section 2.04.010 of this chapter, may do so when deemed necessary or convenient for the public welfare. (Prior code § 2.01.050)

2.04.060 Office of the city attorney.

The office of the city attorney shall remain open each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from eight a.m. to five p.m., and at all times when the municipal court clerk's office is open for official business, all holidays excepted. (Prior code § 2.01.060)
