§ 2.90.100. Charges to Incarcerated Weekenders.

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 1209 of the California Penal Code, the actual cost of confinement or so much thereof as is authorized under Section 1209, shall be charged to persons sentenced to the County Jail or other suitable place of confinement, either as the final sentence or as a condition of any grant of probation, when the person is sentenced to weekends or similar periods during the week so as to allow the person to continue in his or her regular employment, and the person so sentenced is maintained in a place of confinement without assignment to a work project during the period of confinement. The Sheriff shall annually determine and provide to the courts a per inmate daily rate which reflects the costs to the County of the above type of confinement.

§ 2.90.120. Designated Collection Officer.

The County officer responsible for the collection of moneys ordered paid to the County pursuant to Section 1209 of the Penal Code is the County Financial Evaluation Officer, the Revenue Collection Manager of the Office of Revenue Reimbursement. Funds received from such charges shall be deposited in the general fund of the County treasury.
