1.12.010 Authority.

All elections in the town shall be held in accordance with the general election laws of the state in so far as the same are applicable. (Prior code §2300)

1.12.015 General municipal election.

The general municipal election shall be held in 2026 and in each even numbered year thereafter on the same date as the November General Election. (Ord. 730, 2025 part; Ord. 595, 2006)

1.12.020 Posting of election notices.

Notice of all elections to be held in the town shall, unless otherwise provided by law, be given by posting written or printed notices thereof, signed by the mayor and the town clerk, in at least three public places in the town for at least ten successive days prior to the date of every election to be held in the town. (Prior code §2301)

1.12.030 Contents of election notices.

The notices of election, required by Section 1.12.020, shall contain a statement of the date of the election, the office or offices to be filled thereat, the proposition or propositions to be voted upon thereat, the names of the election officers, the location of the polling place or places, and the hours of the opening and closing of the polls. (Prior code §2302)

1.12.040 Precinct boundary.

The entire territory embraced within the corporate limits of the town is hereby established as one election precinct, to be known as Precinct No. 1. (Prior code §2303)
