10.11.010 - Findings.

A. Pursuant to Chapter 10.10 of the Rocklin Municipal Code and the authority contained in the vehicle code, the city council determines upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey that the prima facie speed limits set forth in this section would facilitate the orderly movement of vehicle traffic and would be reasonable and safe, and it is determined that a speed limit greater than those hereinafter set would be more than is reasonable and safe.

B. Based upon the review of the engineering and traffic survey and related information, the city council determines that the following streets shall have the following posted speed limits and are established according to law:

  1. 3rd Street:

a. Between Sunset Boulevard and Farron Street, 30 MPH.

  1. 5th Street:

a. Between Midas Avenue and Third Street, 25 MPH.

  1. Argonaut Avenue:

a. Between Whitney Boulevard and Midas Avenue, 30 MPH,

b. Between Midas Avenue and End, 30 MPH.

  1. Blue Oaks Boulevard:

a. Between the City of Roseville border and Sunset Boulevard, 45 MPH.

  1. Bridlewood Drive:

a. Between Wildcat Boulevard and Whitney Ranch Parkway, 35 MPH.

  1. China Garden Road:

a. Between Aguilar Road and End, 45 MPH.

  1. Clover Valley Road:

a. Between Midas Avenue and Rawhide Road, 30 MPH.

  1. Crest Drive:

a. Between Stanford Ranch Road and Park Drive, 35 MPH.

  1. Delmar Avenue:

a. Between Pacific Street and the Town of Loomis border, 35 MPH.

  1. Dominguez Road:

a. Between Pacific Street and Granite Drive, 35 MPH.

  1. Fairway Drive:

a. Between Sunset Boulevard and Stanford Ranch Road, 35 MPH.

  1. Farrier Road:

a. Between Park Drive and Darby Road, 35 MPH.

  1. Farron Street:

a. Between Pacific Street and 3rd Street, 30 MPH.

  1. Five Star Boulevard:

a. Between Stanford Ranch Road and End, 30 MPH.

  1. Granite Drive:

a. Between Rocklin Road and Sierra Meadows Drive, 30 MPH,

b. Between Sierra Meadows Drive and Dominguez Road, 40 MPH,

c. Between Dominguez Road and Sierra College Boulevard, 40 MPH.

  1. Lonetree Boulevard:

a. Between Blue Oaks Boulevard and West Oaks Boulevard, 40 MPH,

b. Between West Oaks Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard, 45 MPH.

  1. Midas Avenue:

a. Between Pacific Street and Argonaut Avenue, 30 MPH,

b. Between Argonaut Avenue and Whitney Boulevard, 30 MPH,

c. Between Whitney Boulevard and End, 30 MPH.

  1. Old Ranch House Road:

a. Between Whitney Ranch Parkway and Creek Hollow Drive, 30 MPH.

  1. Pacific Street:

a. Between the City of Roseville border and Sunset Boulevard, 45 MPH,

b. Between Sunset Boulevard and Americana Way, 40 MPH,

c. Between Americana Way and the Town of Loomis border, 40 MPH.

  1. Painted Pony Lane:

a. Between Whitney Ranch Parkway and West Oaks Boulevard, 35 MPH.

  1. Park Drive:

a. Between the City of Roseville border and Sunset Boulevard, 45 MPH,

b. Between Sunset Boulevard and Stanford Ranch Road, 45 MPH,

c. Between Stanford Ranch Road and Crest Drive, 45 MPH,

d. Between Crest Drive and the intersection of Whitney Ranch Parkway and Whitney Oaks Drive, 45 MPH.

  1. Ranch View Drive:

a. Between Spring Creek Drive and Wildcat Boulevard, 35 MPH.

  1. Rawhide Road:

d. Between El Don Drive and the Town of Loomis border, 40 MPH.

  1. Scarborough Drive:

a. Between Sierra College Boulevard and the City of Roseville border, 35 MPH.

  1. Schriber Way:

a. Between Sierra College Boulevard and Lakepointe Drive, 30 MPH.

  1. Sierra College Boulevard:

a. Between the Placer County border and the Town of Loomis border, 55 MPH,

b. Between Granite Drive and Bass Pro Drive/Dominguez Road, 40 MPH,

c. Between Bass Pro Drive/ Dominguez Road and Rocklin Road, 50 MPH,

d. Between Rocklin Road and the City of Roseville border, 50 MPH.

  1. Sierra Meadows Drive:

a. Between Granite Drive and Pacific Street, 35 MPH.

  1. South Whitney Boulevard:

a. Between Sunset Boulevard and Five Star Boulevard, 30 MPH.

  1. Spring Creek Drive:

a. Between Whitney Ranch Parkway and Ranch View Drive, 35 MPH.

  1. Springview Drive:

a. Between Sunset Boulevard and Springview Meadows Drive, 35 MPH,

b. Between Springview Meadows Drive and South Whitney Boulevard, 30 MPH.

  1. Stanford Ranch Road:

a. Between the City of Roseville border to Park Drive, 40 MPH,

b. Between Park Drive and West Oaks Boulevard, 45 MPH.

  1. Sunset Boulevard:

a. Between Highway 65 and Blue Oaks Boulevard, 45 MPH,

b. Between Blue Oaks Boulevard and Park Drive, 45 MPH,

c. Between Park Drive and Stanford Ranch Road, 45 MPH,

d. Between Stanford Ranch Road and Whitney Boulevard, 40 MPH,
