17.01.040 Authority and General Plan¶
17.01.010 Title.¶
This Title will be known and cited as the Development Fees of the City of Ripon, or “Title 17”. References to the section numbers herein are to the sections of this Title or the Ripon Municipal Code. (Ord. 758 §5 (part), 2007)
17.01.020 Intent.¶
The Title is intended to serve as the basis of and legal authority for, the imposition and collection of development fees adopted by the City of Ripon. (Ord. 758 §5 (part), 2007)
17.01.030 Purpose.¶
The purposes of this Title shall be to identify the basis for, and the imposition of, development impact fees associated with the effects of new development on City and County services and lands, to serve the public health, safety, and general welfare, to implement the City of Ripon General Plan and to achieve the following objectives: A. To promote a safe traffic flow system; B. To ensure the provision of preserve lands for threatened, endangered species and wildlife; C. To secure safety from fire and other dangers; D. To aid in the provision of needed community and regional facilities; E. To aid in the provisions of needed open space and park lands. (Ord. 758 §5 (part), 2007)
17.01.040 Authority¶
and General Plan Consistency. This Title provides the development fee collection mechanism for implementing the goals and policies of the Ripon General Plan. In addition to, and/or in lieu of, the collection of fees pursuant to this Title 17, the City Council may collect development impact fees and other exactions through Development Agreements negotiated with owners and developers of real property within the City of Ripon.
