Ripon Municipal Code Ch. 15.08 Housing Code

The 1994 Edition of the Uniform Housing Code, published by the International Conference of Building Officials, a copy of which is now on file in the Office of the City Clerk, and a further copy in the Office of the Building Official, is adopted by incorporation in this chapter as the Housing Code of the City pursuant to the provisions of the Government Code of the State of California relating thereto, and each and every provision therein set forth, except as amended by this chapter and the amendments thereto set forth in this chapter, are enacted as a part thereof. A. No person, whether as owner, lessee, sublessee, or occupant, shall erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, demolish, equip, use, occupy, or maintain any building or premises, or cause or permit the same to be done, contrary to or in violation of any of the provisions of the Code or any order issued by the chief building inspector hereunder. B. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of the Code shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars or by imprisonment in the city jail or in the county jail for a period not to exceed ninety days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. C. Each separate day or any portion thereof during which any violation of this Code is continued shall be deemed to constitute a separate offense and upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable as provided in this section.
