Chapter 34 — MOBILE HOMES, TRAILERS, AND MOBILE HOME AND TRAILER PARKS

Sec. 34.1. - DEFINITIONS:

For the purposes of this Chapter, the following terms shall be construed as herein set forth, unless it is apparent from the context that they have a different meaning:

MOBILE HOME: Any unit transportable in one or more sections, used or designed to be used for living or sleeping purposes, or both, and which is not equipped with wheels used for the purpose of transporting such unit from place to place, whether by motive power or other means.

MOBILE HOME PARK: Any place, area or tract of land offered to the public for the accommodation of any mobile home, except recreational areas operated by public agencies, or areas used exclusively for the sale or storage of mobile homes.

TRAILER: Any unit used, or designed to be used, for living or sleeping purposes, or both, and which is equipped with wheels for transporting such unit from place to place, whether by motive power or other means.

TRAILER PARK: Any area or tract of land offered to the public for the accommodation of any trailer, except recreational areas operated by public agencies, or areas used exclusively for the sale or storage of trailers.

Sec. 34.2. - ENFORCEMENT OF CHAPTER:

It shall be the responsibility of the Health Officer of the County to administer and enforce the provisions of this Chapter; provided, however, that the Chief of Police, Chief of the Fire Department, Building Official or Zoning Administrator may administer and enforce the provisions of this Chapter when conditions affecting the health, safety or welfare of persons or the public require such administration and enforcement.
