Sec. 29.1. - ADOPTION OF PUBLIC WORKS STANDARDS, SPECIFICATIONS AND REGULATIONS:

A. The City Engineer shall recommend for Council approval, standards, specifications and regulations, regarding improvements and activities occurring within the right-of-way and amendments thereto, which may be approved by resolution of the City Council. All public works improvements and construction shall comply with these engineering standards, specifications and regulations.

B. The following standards, details, specifications and/or policies are requirements for improvements and activities occurring within the right-of-way and are in effect in the City of Redwood City.

  1. City of Redwood City Engineering Standards, Volumes 1, 2 and 3. That certain document on file with the City Clerk, known and designated as "City of Redwood City Engineering Standards, Volumes 1, 2 and 3, as may be amended from time to time pursuant to subsection A herein above." A copy of these standards shall be available for review by members of the public in the office of the City Clerk and also on the City's website.

  2. Standard Plans and Specifications, California Department of Transportation, latest edition. That certain document on file with the City Engineer, known and designated as the California Department of Transportation Standard Plans and Specifications, latest edition, is hereby adopted by reference and made a part hereof, provided, however, in the event there is any conflict between the City of Redwood City Engineering Standards and the California Department of Transportation Standard Plans and Specifications, those of the City of Redwood City Engineering Standards shall control.
