Sec. 18.50. - GENERALLY:¶
No lands within the limits of San Francisco Bay in the City shall be filled or otherwise reclaimed unless a variance is granted by the City Council pursuant to Section 30.6 of this Code. For the purpose of this Section, San Francisco Bay shall consist of all that area under the waters of the Bay situated northeasterly of the historic levee line as designated on the map set forth in section 2 of Ordinance No. 1129, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk. In acting upon any application for variance, the City Council shall find and consider the effect of such fill upon the navigational, recreational and sanitary factors applicable to Bay waters in addition to those factors which it must consider pursuant to the provisions of the above-mentioned Section 30.6 of this Code.
