16.24.010 - Tests.

The city engineer shall make such inspections as he deems necessary to insure that all construction is in accordance with the approved improvement plan and in no case shall such inspection be less than the following:

A. Preparation of benches to receive side hill compacted fills. No fill shall be placed on vegetation;

B. The finished graded and compacted surfaces of all roads before placing base material;

C. All roadway bases;

D. All asphaltic or concrete bases;

E. All structural forms including forms for curbs and gutters;

F. All concrete pours of any nature;

G. All sewer work and manhole work before backfilling;

H. All drainage lines before backfilling;

I. The backfilling of all ditches including compaction;

J. Mechanical equipment of any nature in operation, including pump lines and street lights;

K. Hydrostatic tests on all sewer lines will be required;

L. A final inspection upon completion of all improvements.

16.24.020 - Sewage facilities.

Sewage facilities will be inspected by the city engineer on a schedule approved by said engineer.

16.24.040 - Notification.

The subdivider shall notify the city engineer or his representative upon the completion of each stage of construction as outlined in this chapter, and he shall not proceed with further construction until he has received authorization from the city engineer or his authorized representative. No work will be accepted unless inspected. The subdivider shall notify the duly appointed inspector for the city at least twenty-four hours in advance of inspection service requirements.

16.24.050 - Bond.

In the event the improvements are not completed prior to the filing of a final map, then the improvement bond mentioned in Chapter 16.28 shall include an amount to cover the estimated cost of inspection.
