7229 - Self-haulers—Disposal at authorized sites—Reporting requirements.

Persons desiring to transport and dispose of solid waste generated or accumulated at premises which they own or of which they are in charge of day-to-day activities ("self-haulers"), shall obtain a self-haul permit from the City. Self-haulers shall transport and dispose of such solid waste only in vehicles owned or leased by the self-hauler, and only at permitted solid waste facilities. At such times as the City Manager may specify, and upon notice by the City Manager, self-haulers shall report to the City the type, weight and disposal facility destination of such solid waste transported and shall submit to the City a copy of weight or gate tickets or receipts from each permitted disposal facility to which the self-hauler transported solid waste. If self-haul reporting fees have been set by the City Council, by resolution, self-haulers shall pay such fees to the City.

7230 - Gardeners—Disposal at authorized sites—Reporting requirements.

Each person in the City required to obtain a business license to perform gardening, landscaping or landscape maintenance services in the City for hire (collectively referred to as "gardeners"), who transports green waste shall obtain a gardener's self-haul permit from the City and shall transport green waste only in vehicles owned or leased by the gardener and only to permitted solid waste facilities or green compost facilities or exempt facilities or other lawful places. At such times as the City Manager may specify, and upon notice by the City Manager, gardeners holding business licenses, self-haul permits, or both, shall report to the City the type, weight and destination of such green wastes transported and shall submit to the City a copy of weight or gate tickets or receipts from each permitted facility or exempt facility to which the self-hauler transported green waste. If self-haul reporting fees for gardeners have been set by the City Council, by resolution, gardeners shall pay such fees to the City.
