1-14-1: TERMS 1 :¶
The regular terms for the office of city council shall be for four (4) consecutive years. (Ord. 1471, 9-25-1990)
1-14-2: VACANCY FOR ABSENCE 2 :¶
If a councilman absents himself from all regular council meetings for sixty (60) days consecutively from the last regular meeting he attended, his office becomes vacant and shall be filled as any other vacancy. (1962 Code)
1-14-3: MEETINGS:¶
(A) Regular Meetings: The regular meetings of the city council shall be held at the hour of five o’clock (5:00) P.M. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month unless those dates fall on a holiday, in which event the meetings shall be held at the discretion of the city council. The meetings will be held at town hall, 549 Main Street, Placerville, California, and will be held in accordance with the provisions established by the state of California. (B) Special Meetings: Any special meetings, regardless of their purpose, shall be held in accordance with the provisions established by the state of California. The city council will determine when and where these meetings shall be held and it will be so stated in the notice and agenda for the special meetings. (Ord. 1471, 9-25-1990)
1-14-4: PROCEDURAL RULES 3 :¶
The council may establish rules for the conduct of its proceedings. It may punish a member or other person for disorderly behavior at a meeting. (1962 Code)
1-14-5: JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS 1 :¶
The council shall cause the clerk to keep a correct record of its proceedings. At the request of a member, the clerk shall enter the ayes and noes in the journal. (1962 Code)
1-14-6: COUNCIL TO ACT AS REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY:¶
It is hereby found that there is a need for a redevelopment agency to function in the city, and the city council is hereby designated as such redevelopment agency, and all rights, powers, duties, privileges and immunities provided for in the community redevelopment law 2 shall be vested in the city council as the redevelopment agency.
