12.54.010 - Decrease of state law maximum speed.

It is determined upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that the speed permitted by state law outside of business and residence districts, as applicable upon the following streets, is greater than is reasonable or safe under the conditions found to exist upon such streets and it is declared that the prima facie speed limit shall be as herein set forth on those streets or parts of streets herein designated, when signs are erected giving notice thereof, and henceforth, further changes shall be established by resolution of the city council from time to time with reference to this section:

(a) Charolais Road from Creston Road to west city limits, forty-five miles per hour;

(b) Creston Road from the easterly end of 13th Street Bridge to Charolais Road, thirty-five miles per hour;

(c) Niblick Road from Creston Road to Spring Street, thirty-five miles per hour;

(d) Scott Street from Creston Road to Westfield Road, thirty miles per hour;

(e) Sherwood Road from Creston Road to Fontana Road, forty-five miles per hour;

(f) Paso Robles Street from the southerly city limits to 13th Street, forty miles per hour;

(g) Riverside Avenue from 13th Street to the southerly city limits, forty miles per hour;

(h) Riverside Avenue from 13th Street to 24th Street, thirty-five miles per hour;

(i) Riverside Avenue from 24th Street to north city limits, thirty-five miles per hour;

(j) South River Road from Creston to Charolais Road, forty miles per hour;

(k) Spring Street from the northerly city limits to 24th Street, thirty-five miles per hour;

(l) Spring Street from 24th Street to 10th Street, thirty miles per hour;

(m) Spring Street from 10th Street to southerly city limit, thirty-five miles per hour;

(n) 24th Street from the westerly city limit to Spring Street, thirty-five miles per hour;

(o) 24th Street from Spring Street to Highway 101, thirty miles per hour;

(p) Vine Street from the southerly city limits to 32nd Street, thirty miles per hour;

(q) Pacific Avenue from the westerly city limits to Olive Street, thirty-five miles per hour;

(r) Golden Hill Road from Creston Road to city limits, thirty-five miles per hour;

(s) Union Road from North River Road to the northeasterly city limit on Union Road, forty-five miles per hour;

(t) North River Road from Creston Road, one-half mile north, thirty-five miles per hour;

(u) North River Road from one-half mile north of Creston Road to north city limits, forty-five miles per hour;

(v) Airport Road from Highway 46 to north city limits, forty-five miles per hour.

12.54.020 - Speed limits designated.

The city council has determined that the following streets or parts of streets shall have the following speed limits:

(a) Creston Road from Meadowlark Road to Niblick Road, forty miles per hour; Creston Road from Golden Hill Road to Trigo Lane, thirty-five miles per hour;

(b) Golden Hill Road from Creston Road to city limits; thirty-five miles per hour;

(c) Niblick Road from South River Road to the westerly curbline of Appaloosa Drive, forty miles per hour;

(d) Pacific Avenue from the westerly city limits to Olive Street, thirty-five miles per hour;

(e) Paso Robles Boulevard from North River Road to the northeasterly city limit on Paso Robles Boulevard, thirty-five miles per hour;

(f) North River Road from Creston Road to the northerly city limits, forty miles per hour.
