2.01.010 - General election; elective officers; term.¶
The general municipal election for the City of Parlier shall be held on the day of the statewide general election. Except as otherwise provided in this title, all elective city offices shall be filled by the city electorate at a statewide general municipal election. City officers holding elective city office shall hold office for their prescribed terms from the date of the installation of officers following adoption by the city council of the official canvass of their election and until their successors are elected and qualified.

2.01.020 - Effect of general election date selection.¶
No term of municipal office has been increased as a result of requiring the general municipal election to be held of the date of the statewide general election. Actual time in office may vary nominally in order to comply with State law and the provisions of Section 2.01.010 hereinabove.
