12.12.010 - Authority.

The town manager may restrict the use of or close any town street or highway whenever the town manager considers such closing or restriction of use necessary:

A. For the protection of the public;

B. For the protection of such street or highway from damage during storms;

12.12.020 - Methods.

When, pursuant to Section 12.12.010, a town street or highway is closed or the use of it is restricted, the town manager may designate the restricted use or the closing of such town street or highway by:

A. Erecting suitable barriers or obstruction upon such street or highway;

B. Posting warnings and notices on or adjacent to such street or highway of the condition of any such street or highway;

C. Posting signs for the direction of traffic upon it, to or upon any other street or highway, or detour open to public travel;

D. Placing warning devices on such street or highway;

E. Assigning a flagman to warn, detour or direct traffic on such street or highway. (Ord. 75 §1(M)(part), 1982; Ord. 16 §§1(D)(part), 2(B)(part), 1980: county code §10-21)
