10.12.010 - Applicability of Vehicle Code.¶
The town council finds and declares that within the designated areas described in this chapter there are privately owned and maintained roads which are generally open to the public for purposes of vehicular traffic to serve commercial establishments, that upon enactment of the ordinance codified in this chapter the provisions of the Vehicle Code shall apply to such privately owned and maintained roads. 10.12.020 - Designated.¶
The private roads designated in this chapter are all the areas used for vehicular travel which are in the town at the following locations:
A. The private property known as the Paradise Plaza Shopping Center at Clark and Wagstaff Roads;
B. The private property known as the Holiday Shopping Center located on the east side of Skyway near the intersection of Skyway and Center Street;
C. The private property known as the Old Town Plaza Shopping Center located on the northeast quadrant of the intersection of Clark Road and Elliott Road; and
D. The private property owned and used by the Paradise Auditorium and which includes the Paradise Senior Center located on the north side of Nunneley Road west of the intersection of Clark Road and Nunneley Road. (Ord. 281 §1, 1996: Ord. 109, 1983: Ord. 51 §2, 1981)
10.12.030 - Posting of notice required.¶
The provisions of this chapter shall apply only during such times as the owners or operators of the designated private roads maintain a notice to the effect that such private roads are subject to the public traffic regulations and control. Such notice shall be posted in a conspicuous place at each entrance to such private roads, shall not be less than seventeen by twenty-two inches in size, and shall have lettering not less than one inch in height.
