10.10.010 - Adoption.¶
The town council declares that this chapter is adopted pursuant to the authority granted by Section 22519 of the Vehicle Code of the state.

10.10.020 - Vehicles and equipment defined.¶
For the purposes of this chapter, "vehicles" and "equipment" are defined as set forth in Sections 100 through 675, inclusive, of the Vehicle Code of the state, as amended.

10.10.030 - Posting of signs.¶
Whenever the town manager determines that the orderly, efficient conduct of the town's business requires that parking or standing vehicles on town property be prohibited, limited or restricted, the town manager has the power and authority to order signs to be erected or posted indicating that the parking of vehicles is thus prohibited, limited or restricted. When signs authorized by the provisions of this section are in place, giving notice thereof, no person shall park or stand any vehicle contrary to the directions or provisions of such signs.

10.10.040 - Impoundment.¶
Any vehicle or equipment found to be in violation of section 10.10.030 may be impounded or caused to be impounded by any employed and salaried officer of the police department and/or the town code enforcement officer. The vehicle may be impounded in any garage or impoundment facility designated by the town.

10.10.050 - Compliance with Vehicle Code.¶
Any officer removing any vehicle or equipment pursuant to this chapter shall comply with the provisions of Sections 22650 through 22856 of the Vehicle Code of the state, as amended.

10.10.060 - Violation—Penalty.¶
In addition to the vehicle impoundment provisions of section 10.10.040 any vehicle owner or person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of an infraction with fines pursuant to Government Code § 36900. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue constitutes a separate offense and is punishable as such.
