Sec. 6-8.401. - Scope.¶
Annual standby sewer charges are hereby prescribed for services and facilities furnished by the City inconnection with its sanitation and sewerage system as set forth in this article.

Sec. 6-8.402. - Liability.¶
The standby sewer charges set forth in this article shall be levied against the owners of unimproved property.

Sec. 6-8.403. - Liens.¶
The standby sewer charges set forth in this article shall be a lien upon the premises in the same manner as delinquent County taxes. The charges levied by this article shall be collected as a part of, and at the same time as, the annual general County tax bill, unless the City shall fail to provide the Board of Supervisors and the County Auditor with a description of each parcel for which a charge is to be billed, together with the amount of the charge applicable to each parcel, in sufficient time to meet the schedule established by the County for the inclusion of such items on the County general tax bill. In that case, the City may collect such charges in any other manner it deems fit. Failure to pay such charges when due shall cause a penalty to be levied in an amount at the same rate as is applicable for the late payment of unpaid County general taxes. If the City elects to collect such charges on the annual general County tax bill, the amounts of the standby sewer charges and any applicable penalties shall be stated on the tax bills separately from all other taxes, if practicable.

Sec. 6-8.404. - Schedule.¶
Standby annual sewer charges shall be one hundred twenty-five thousandths ( 125/1000 ) of one percent (.00125) of the assessed valuation as shown on the last equalized assessment roll.
