2.04.010 - Council meetings.¶
The regular meetings of the Orland city council shall be held at six-thirty p.m. on the first and third Tuesday in each month, in the Carnegie Community Center, in the city of Orland; provided, however, that when a first or a third Tuesday falls on a legal holiday, then the regular meeting for that date shall be held on the next business day not a holiday, following such legal holiday. The city council may schedule closed session matters prior to or following that start time.

2.04.015 - Compensation.¶
Pursuant to Government Code Section 36516, each member of the city council shall receive as salary the sum of nine hundred and fifty dollars ($950.00) per month, with such adjustments as may be permitted from time to time by state law.

2.04.020 - Mayor—Selection and term of office.¶
A. The mayor's position on the council will be selected on an annual basis at the second scheduled meeting in November of each and every year. However, upon a meeting held to canvass election returns, the selection will take place on the same date set for canvassing the ballot.
B. The mayor's position will be changed every year; provided, however, that on a four-fifths council vote, a council person may serve as mayor for two consecutive terms.

2.04.030 - Vice-mayor—Selection and term of office.¶
A. The vice-mayor will be selected annually on the dates as provided in Section 2.04.020 for the mayor.
B. The vice-mayor will sit and act as mayor should the mayor be unavailable to be present.

2.04.040 - Numbering of ordinances.¶
All ordinances shall be numbered consecutively in the order of the date of their passage.
