Sec. 1-4-153. - Alternate leasing procedure.

Pursuant to Government Code Section 25537, this article prescribes an alternative procedure for the leasing and licensing of any real property belonging to, or leased or licensed by, the County of Orange.

Sec. 1-4-154. - Bidding requirements.

The Board of Supervisors may lease or grant a license on any real property belonging to, leased by, or licensed by the County by accepting the highest proposal for the proposed lease or license submitted in response to a call for bids posted in at least three (3) public places for not less than fifteen (15) days and published for not less than two (2) weeks in a newspaper of general circulation, if any such newspaper is published in the County, or reject all bids.

The Board of Supervisors may, by resolution, authorize the county officer or officers as are deemed appropriate to execute leases or licenses of a limited duration and monthly rental or license fee without complying with the specified bidding procedure as provided in Government Code Section 25537. The procedure for leasing and licensing real property pursuant to this section is an alternative to the general procedure specified in Government Code Sections 25526 through 25535.

This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty (30) days from and after its passage and, before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after the passage thereof, shall be published once in the Orange County Register, a newspaper published in the County of Orange, State of California.
