4.04.010 - Funds designated.

The arrangement of funds in the city treasury is so altered that there shall be in the treasury the funds following:

A. There shall be the following funds applicable to the purposes classified by the State Controller under the head "General Government":

  1. A salary fund;

  2. An election fund;

  3. A light and water fund;

  4. A general fund;

  5. An engineering fund.

B. There shall be the following funds applicable to the purposes classified by the State Controller under the head "Protection of Life and Property":

  1. A police fund;

  2. A fire fund;

  3. A pound fund.

C. There shall be the following funds applicable to the purposes classified by the State Controller under the head "Health Conservation and Sanitation":

  1. A health fund;

  2. A street cleaning and sprinkling fund;

  3. A sewer repair fund.

D. There shall be applicable to the purpose classified by the State Controller under the head "Education" a library fund.

E. There shall be the following funds applicable to the purposes classified by the State Controller under the head "Charities and Corrections":

  1. An indigent fund;

  2. A jail building fund;

  3. A jail fund.

F. There shall be applicable to the purpose classified by the State Controller under the head "Recreation," a park fund.

G. There shall be the following funds applicable to the purposes classified under the head "Streets and Highways":

  1. A street maintenance and repair fund;

  2. A street lighting fund.

H. There shall be the following funds applicable to the purposes classified by the State Controller as "Public Works":

  1. A new building fund;

  2. A new street fund;

  3. A new bridge fund;

  4. A new sewer fund.

I. The following funds now existing in the city treasury are hereby continued in existence:

  1. Sinking fund No. 1;

  2. Sinking fund No. 2;

  3. The fire department hose bond fund;

  4. The fire alarm bond fund.

J. There shall be a fund to be known as the Judgment and Bail Fund applicable to the purposes classified by the State Controller as "Judgments and Miscellaneous other Expenditures."

4.04.020 - Disposition of moneys.

All moneys now in the city treasury in funds other than sinking funds are disposed of as follows:

A. All moneys in the existing salary fund are transferred to the new salary fund which is declared to be a continuation of the present salary fund;

B. All moneys in the existing general fund are transferred to the new general fund which is declared to be a continuation of the present general fund;

C. All moneys in the existing library fund are transferred to the new library fund, which is declared to be a continuation of the present library fund;

D. All moneys in the existing dog fund are transferred to the new pound fund;

E. All funds heretofore existing in the city treasury and not expressly continued in existence are abolished.

4.04.030 - Reports—Classification of funds.

In all quarterly and annual reports of the city clerk and city treasurer hereafter to be rendered the funds reported as received and disbursed shall be classified with respect to the funds established or continued in this chapter.
