Mountain View Municipal Code Art. XI Cost Recovery Fees

When a person brings an infraction citation for a motor vehicle equipment violation or a motor vehicle license or current registration tab violation, which is eligible for proof of correction (a "fix-it ticket"), to a City of Mountain View police officer or other authorized police personnel for an inspection, the officer or other authorized police personnel may inspect the vehicle to certify that the required repair, modification or correction has been properly made and is in compliance with the California Vehicle Code. The fee for such inspection, certification of correction and the citation sign-off shall be an amount established by council resolution.
