2.24.010 - Chapter purpose.¶
The purpose of this chapter is to put into effect the appropriate amendments to Section 12210 of the Business and Professions Code of the state.

2.24.020 - Sealer—Duties.¶
The sealer of weights and measures is directed by the county board of supervisors that upon the written request of any person, firm or corporation, the sealer shall calibrate, test, weigh and measure, and certify to the accuracy of, noncommercial weights and measures and weighing and measuring devices, and instruments, tools and accessories connected therewith.

2.24.030 - Schedule of fees established.¶
The county board of supervisors establishes as fees to cover the cost of any service under this chapter of the lessor of (1) actual county cost of providing the services, or (2) the same schedule of fees set by the state from year to year for such services. The sealer is directed to collect said fees.

2.24.040 - Commercial or noncommercial device determination.¶
For the purpose of determining whether a device is commercial or noncommercial, Section 3000.1 of the California Administrative Code shall govern all such decisions for the purpose of uniform interpretation and
application of this chapter.

2.24.050 - Contract authorization.¶
For the purpose of effectuating this chapter, the county board of supervisors authorizes the chairman of the board of supervisors to execute any contract and sign any agreement binding the county with any necessary governmental agency or person.
