Sec. 6.60.1910. - General.

(a) Street pavement and surfaces shall be removed and replaced in all areas of construction excavation in conformance with details shown on the plans and as specified herein. Resurfacing of existing pavement and surfaces damaged or removed in connection with the construction of sanitary sewer improvements, including all appurtenances, shall conform to the provisions of permits issued by the state division of highways, the county road department, or the city, for the work within the rights-of-way of the respective agency. In the absence of specific designation upon the plans, the trench or excavation shall be resurfaced with the class of surfacing conforming most nearly to the surface of the street, and in accordance with the requirements, and to the full satisfaction of the agency issuing the permit.

(b) The applicant shall take precautions to prevent damage to all pavement and other surfaces outside the limits of necessary excavation, whether in city, county or state rights-of-way, district rights-of-way or private property. All damaged pavement and surfaces within city, county or state rights-of-way shall be replaced in accordance with the conditions of the permits issued for the construction within the respective rights-of-way. The applicant shall bear all expense in acquiring, and resulting from compliance with any and all conditions of the permits issued by the city, the county road department and/or the state division of highways.
