17.52.010 - Permit for exterior painting.

A. Within any redevelopment project area (as defined in State Health and Safety Code Section 33320.1 et seq.), and within three hundred feet of the exterior boundaries thereof, no person shall paint, or allow or permit the painting of, the exterior of any building or structure without first obtaining a permit and paying a fee of ten dollars to the building official therefor.

B. It shall be a misdemeanor for any person to violate any provision or fail to comply with any requirement of this section.

17.52.020 - Permit for exterior modifications.

A. Within any redevelopment project area (as defined in State Health and Safety Code Section 33320.1 et seq.), and within three hundred feet of the exterior boundaries thereof, no person shall modify or allow or permit the exterior modification of any building or site in the manner listed in this subsection without first obtaining a permit and paying a fee of ten dollars to the building official therefor:

  1. Removal or emplacement of landscaping, fencing or screening on the site;

  2. Construction of exterior structures above grade;

  3. Removal or emplacement of window and door awnings, shutters, marquees or other covers visible from the exterior;

  4. Addition or deletion of exterior openings for doors or windows.

B. It shall be a misdemeanor for any person to violate any provision or fail to comply with any requirement of this section.
