Mendocino County Municipal Code Ch. 20.440 Supplemental Limitations on Uses

The following limitations may be in addition to the uses or regulations indicated in the previous sections describing the zoning districts. For example, the zoning district(s) that allow farm labor housing as a residential use type and are designated with an (A) such as RL(A) shall conform to the fifty (50) foot setback as described below in Paragraph (A). Where conflict exists between this Chapter and any other, this Chapter shall be utilized.

(A) Farm Employee Housing. Farm employee housing shall not be located closer than fifty (50) feet to any lot line of the parcel on which it is located.

(B) Farm Labor Housing. No farm labor camp shall be located closer than fifty (50) feet to any lot line of the parcel on which it is located.

(C) Veterinary Hospitals. Hospitals shall be located on a parcel not less than forty thousand (40,000) square feet in size. Indoor treatment areas must be located at least fifty (50) feet from the nearest property line, and outdoor treatment or confinement areas must be located at least one hundred (100) feet from the nearest property fine.

(D) Limitations on Enclosed Storage. All operations, including the storage of materials and equipment, shall be entirely within an enclosed building, and the area devoted to storage shall not be greater than the area devoted to sales and administration offices.

(E) Enclosed Building. All operations, including the storage of materials and equipment, shall be entirely within an enclosed building.

(F) Enclosed Building or Walls. All operations, including the storage of materials and equipment, shall be entirely within an enclosed building or inside walls or solid fences not less than six (6) feet in height.

(G) Gasoline Sales. There shall be no open storage of goods or materials, and all repair and lubrication services shall take place in an enclosed building.
