2.32.010. - Created.¶
The Town has created a Commission for the Town, which shall be known as the Planning and Economic Development Commission. It shall consist of five members appointed in the manner and for the terms prescribed in Sections 2.04.060 and 2.28.010.

2.32.020. - Chair; committees; staff.¶
Designation of chairpersons for the Commission shall be governed by Section 2.28.020. The Commission shall be authorized to appoint and fix the membership of such number of standing and temporary committees as it may find expedient for the performance of its duties. The Town Manager may appoint an executive secretary and other staff and provide such compensation for their services as may be authorized by the Town Council and by the annual Town budget of expenditures.

2.32.030. - Meetings; rules of procedure.¶
The Planning and Economic Development Commission shall hold one regular meeting each month at a time, date, and place designated by the Commission unless a meeting is cancelled by the chair or the majority of the Commission for a lack of agenda items. Special meetings may be called by the chair or a majority of the Commission, provided notice has been given to all members at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. A majority of commissioners shall constitute a quorum.

2.32.040. - Functions, powers and duties.¶
The functions, powers, and duties of the Planning and Economic Development Commission shall be all those functions, powers, and duties of a Planning and Economic Development Commission and Board of Zoning Adjustment as provided in Government Code §§ 65100 through 65763 (Chapter 3, Local Planning) and Government Code §§ 65800 through 65912 (Chapter 4, Zoning Regulations), as the same may be hereafter amended. The Planning and Economic Development Commission shall perform such other duties and functions as may be designated by the Town Council. All references in this Code to the Planning and Economic Development Commission shall be deemed to mean the Planning and Economic Development Commission. The Planning and Economic Development Commission shall be deemed an advisory agency for purposes of Government Code § 66415.

2.32.050. - Rules; records and meetings.¶
The Commission shall adopt rules for the transaction of business, shall keep a public record of its resolutions, transactions, findings and determinations, and shall hold at least one regular meeting each month. Minutes of the Commission meetings shall be filed with the Town Clerk.

2.32.060. - Compensation.¶
The members of the Commission shall receive such reasonable compensation as is established from time to time by resolution of the Town Council and reimbursement for such traveling expenses and mileage as is set forth in the Town's policies and procedures regarding traveling expenses and mileage, as the same are amended from time to time.
