1.20.010 Misdemeanor or Infraction

Unless specified to the contrary herein, any provision of this code which it is unlawful to violate shall carry the punishment of misdemeanor rather than infraction.

1.20.020 Misdemeanor Punishment

Every violation determined to be a misdemeanor is punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars, or by imprisonment not to exceed six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

1.20.030 Infraction Punishment

Every violation determined to be an infraction is punishable by (a) a fine not exceeding fifty dollars ($50) for a first violation; (b) a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100) for a second violation of the same provisions of this code within one year; (c) a fine not exceeding two hundred fifty dollars ($250) for each additional violation of the same provision of this code within one year.

1.20.040 Separate Offense for Each Day

A separate offense is committed for each and every day during any portion of which any violation of this code is committed, continued, or permitted by any person.
