1.16.010 Headings Not to Govern Provisions¶
Title, chapter, and section headings do not in any manner affect the scope, meaning, or intent of the provisions of this code.
1.16.020 Effect on Existing Law¶
The provisions of this code insofar as they are substantially the same as existing law shall be construed as restatements and continuations and not as new enactments.
1.16.030 Effect on Existing Rights¶
No action or proceeding commenced before this code but all procedures thereafter taken shall conform to the provisions of this code as much as possible.
1.16.040 Permit Not an Exemption¶
This issuance of a permit under this code shall not exempt the permitee from any other applicable provisions of law.
1.16.050 Effective Date¶
This code will take effect upon the effective date of the Ordinance of the Council of the City whereby this code is adopted by reference.
