Sec. 8.9. Creation of Authority.

There is hereby created an agency to be known as the Los Angeles Civic Center Authority hereinafter referred to in this chapter as the “Authority.”

Sec. 8.10. Membership of the Authority.

Such authority shall consist of eight members, four members to be appointed by the City, and four by the County. Three of the members representing the City shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to confirmation by the City Council. The fourth member representing the City shall be the councilmember from that Council District in which the major part of the Civic Center is located. Those members representing the County shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The members representing the County shall serve at the pleasure of the Board of Supervisors. The members representing the City, except the abovementioned councilmember, shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and in the event of removal such removal shall be subject to approval by the City Council.
