Sec. 8.183. Capacity of the City Board.¶
The City Board shall have and exercise such powers and duties as are hereinafter set forth:
A. The City Board shall prepare for Council approval, guidelines for implementation by the five Neighborhood Landlord-Tenant
Mediation Boards of the provisions in Section 8.187 herein. Such guidelines shall also describe the territorial jurisdiction of each
Neighborhood Board.
B. In addition to this responsibility, the City Board may:
1. Formulate and recommend to the Mayor and Council such specific legislative proposals as it may feel to be desirable to
facilitate the resolution of the various landlord-tenant problems.
2. Disseminate materials or conduct educational seminars and conferences on the respective rights, remedies and
responsibilities of landlords and tenants.
3. Publish guidelines for fair and reasonable residential rental practices.
