17.68.010 - Correction of errors or omissions.

A certificate of correction or an amending map for the purposes set forth in section 66469 of the Government Code may be approved by the city engineer. A copy of the amending map or certificate of correction shall be filed with the planning director.

17.68.020 - Modification.

A recorded final map or parcel map may be modified by a certificate of correction or an amending map upon approval of the city council.

(1) Applications for modification of a recorded final map or parcel map shall be filed, processed and considered at a noticed public hearing in the same manner as tentative maps, as set forth in Sections 17.16.060 through 17.16.180, inclusive.

(2) The city council shall not approve the requested modification unless the council finds that these are changes in circumstances of the recorded map no longer appropriate or necessary; that the modifications do not impose any additional burden on the present fee owner of the property; that the modification do not alter any right, title or interest in the real property reflected on the recorded maps; and that the map as modified does not result in any of the conditions set forth in section 66474 of the Government Code. In considering a request to modify a recorded final map or parcel map, the city council shall confine the hearing to consideration of and action on the proposed modification only.
