17.56.010 - Petition filing, form and contents.¶
Petitions for reversion to acreage as authorized by the Subdivision Map Act shall be filed with the planning director. The petition shall be in a form prescribed by the city engineer and shall contain that information and data specified in subsections (a), (b) and (c) of section 66499.13 of the Subdivision Map Act and such other pertinent information as the city engineer deems reasonably necessary to permit adequate review and consideration of the requested action.

17.56.020 - Fee.¶
The petition for reversion to acreage shall be accompanied by a fee to be determined by the council by resolution.

17.56.030 - Review and report by commission.¶
A petition for reversion to acreage shall be reviewed by the commission. The procedure for review of a tentative map shall be applicable to the review of a proposed reversion to acreage. No public hearing shall be required. The commission shall submit a written report to the council.

17.56.040 - Hearing before council.¶
Upon receipt of the report of the commission, the council shall set a hearing on the petition. Notice of the hearing shall be given in the manner provided in Section 17.16.180. Upon conclusion of the hearing, final action shall be taken by the council on the proposed final map.

17.56.050 - Findings required for approval—Conditions.¶
The council shall approve a reversion to acreage only if it determines and makes the findings required by section 66499.16 of the Government Code. In addition to the findings stated above, the council shall impose appropriate conditions as provided by section 66499.17 of the Government Code.

17.56.060 - Return of fees and deposits—Release of security.¶
Upon filing of the final map for reversion to acreage with the county recorder, any fees and deposits to be returned to the subdivider and any improvement securities to be released by the city shall be processed as provided in the Subdivision Map Act.

17.56.070 - Filing for recordation and effect thereof.¶
Upon approval by the council, the final map shall be delivered to the county recorder. Reversion shall be effective on the date the final map is filed for record by the county recorder. Upon filing, all prior dedications and offers of dedication not shown on the final map for reversion shall be of no further force and effect.
