§ 2.58.010. Declaration of need for community development commission.¶
There exists a need in the county for a community development commission to operate and to govern as the redevelopment agency of the county and to exercise other powers and duties regarding community development and redevelopment as assigned by the board of supervisors.

§ 2.58.020. Membership.¶
The community development commission shall consist of five members, who shall be the members of the board of supervisors.

§ 2.58.030. Terms of office.¶
The commission members who are also members of the board of supervisors shall serve terms which correspond to their terms as supervisors.

§ 2.58.040. Executive director.¶
The commission shall be served by an executive director of the community development commission, who shall also be the county administrator of the county of Lassen.

§ 2.58.050. Employment and sharing of staff.¶
The commission shall directly employ such staff as authorized by the board of commissioners.

§ 2.58.060. Personnel policies.¶
The commission shall operate under the same personnel policies now in effect for the county of Lassen and does hereby adopt same.

§ 2.58.070. Time and place of meeting.¶
The commission shall meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at nine-fifteen a.m., in the supervisors' chambers, administration building.

§ 2.58.080. Rights, powers and duties.¶
The commission shall be vested with the rights, powers, duties, and responsibilities for the commissioners of a redevelopment agency.

§ 2.58.090. Community development block grants.¶
The commission is specifically charged with application for community development block grant funds for the county, and with the administration, implementation, operation, and fiscal accounting and control of all community development block grant programs funded to the county.

§ 2.58.100. Public/private economic development activities.¶
The commission is specifically charged with participation in such aspects of public/private economic development activities as the board of supervisors may direct.

§ 2.58.110. Direction of the board of supervisors.¶
The commission shall operate in the other areas of community development as directed by the board of supervisors.
