§ 2.11.010. Creation of office.¶
Pursuant to the terms and provisions of Section 27700 et seq., of the Government Code the office of public defender is established.

§ 2.11.020. Appointment—Term.¶
The public defender shall be appointed by the board of supervisors, and shall serve at the will of the board, or as otherwise provided by contract.

§ 2.11.030. Duties.¶
The duties of the public defender shall be as set forth in Section 27706 of the Government Code.

§ 2.11.040. Compensation.¶
The compensation of the public defender shall be as set forth in Chapter 2.36 of this code.
