§ 2.08.010. Creation of office.¶
There is created in and for the county of Lassen, state of California, the office of county counsel.

§ 2.08.020. Appointment.¶
The county counsel shall be appointed by the board of supervisors to serve for the terms prescribed by law.

§ 2.08.030. Duties.¶
The duties of the county counsel shall be as set forth in Sections 26529, 27642 and 27645 of the Government Code of the State of California. In addition, he or she shall serve as the attorney for the Lassen County public administrator.

§ 2.08.040. Compensation.¶
The compensation of the county counsel shall be fixed by the board of supervisors. County counsel will be the sole member of the county counsel's bargaining unit. The county counsel shall pay into the county treasury all fees, commissions and charges allowed and collected in connection with the rendition of legal services to other agencies, including his services as attorney for the public administrator.
