Editor's note— Ord. No. 2199, § 2, adopted Oct. 19, 1993, added Art. XXI, §§ 2-143—2-145; and Ord. No. 2215, § 1, adopted Dec. 7, 1993, added Art. XX, §§ 2-150—2-153. In agreement with the County, the editor has redesignated Ord. No. 2199 as Art. XX and Ord. No. 2215 as Art. XXI. The section numbers remain the same. Article XX is effective Jan. 2, 1995.

Sec. 2-143. - Authority.

This article is enacted pursuant to the authority provided by Section 25100.5 of the Government Code.

Sec. 2-144. - Declaration.

The County of Lake hereby declares its desire to declare the Office of Clerk of the Board of Supervisors appointive.

Sec. 2-145. - Clerk of the Board of Supervisors as Appointive Officer.

The office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is hereby declared to be an appointive office, and such appointment shall be made by the Board of Supervisors.
