La Palma Municipal Code Div. 13 Wildland Urban Interface Code

The Wildland Urban Interface Code, 2025 Edition is hereby adopted, in its entirety as the Referenced Standards Code of the City of La Palma as set forth in this division 13, Chapter 10.

Chapter 6 of the Wildland-Urban Interface Code, FIRE PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS is adopted in its entirety as amended by the SFM with the following amendments:

Section 602.4 Fuel modification plans are hereby added as follows:

602.4 Fuel modification plans, Fuel modification plans shall be reviewed and approved by OCFA for all new buildings to be built or installed in a wildfire risk area. Plans shall meet the criteria set forth in OCFA Guidance C-05 "Vegetation Management Guideline-Technical Design for New Construction Fuel Modification Plans and Maintenance Program."
