2.16.010 - Salaries—Purpose.

This article is enacted pursuant to the authority of Sections 36514.5, 36516, 36516.2 and 36516.5 of the California Government Code, as existing or as hereafter may be amended.

2.16.020 - Salaries—Increase or decrease.

A. Any future increase or decrease in the salaries established hereunder shall be by duly enacted ordinance pursuant to California Government Code Section 36516.

B. The effective date of any increase herein or here- after made shall be in accordance with California Government Code Section 36516.5.

2.16.030 - Salaries designated.

A. City Clerk. The salary of the city clerk shall be set from time to time by the council by resolution or in the annual budget.

B. City Treasurer. The salary of the city treasurer shall be set from time to time by the council by resolution or in the annual budget.

C. City Council. Each member of the council shall receive, as salary the sum as established by ordinance, pursuant to Section 36516 of the California Government Code, payable at the same time and in the same manner as salaries for other city officers and employees.

2.16.040 - Official bonds.

The following officers shall execute surety bonds to the city, conditional upon the faithful performance of the duties of such offices, to be in such form and substance as may be approved by the council:

A. City treasurer;

B. City clerk.

2.16.050 - Expenses.

Councilmembers shall be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of official duties pursuant to California Government Code Section 36514.5.
