§ 8.28.010. Examination of sanitary conditions.¶
A duly authorized representative of the city, designated by the council, is authorized to make inspections to determine the condition of dwellings, dwelling units, rooming units and premises located within the city, in order to examine the sanitary condition of the dwellings and premises to determine whether the provisions of this title are complied with. In the event the owner or occupant of a dwelling, dwelling unit or rooming unit, or person in charge thereof, refuses such authorized representative entry into such dwelling, dwelling unit or rooming unit, such representative is empowered to seek appropriate assistance from any court of competent jurisdiction to assist him in obtaining such entry.
