§ 8.26.010. Contractor duties.¶
The city shall provide for the collection and removal by a contractor of all garden refuse within the city not less often than once every seven days and the contractor shall collect and remove all garden refuse from all places or premises within the city as provided in this chapter.

§ 8.26.020. Garden refuse receptacles.¶
Garden refuse shall be contained in receptacles with total weight including contents not to exceed seventy-five pounds.

§ 8.26.030. Separation of garbage and rubbish.¶
No garbage or rubbish shall be placed in garden refuse receptacles.

§ 8.26.040. Bundling of tree and shrub trimmings too large to be placed in containers.¶
Tree and shrub trimmings too large to be placed in containers may be placed for collection provided such material is cut to a length not to exceed four feet and securely tied in bundles, and may be located for collection as specified in Section 8.26.050 of this chapter.

§ 8.26.050. Tree and shrub trimmings, bundles and receptacle location.¶
Garden refuse receptacles and tree and shrub trimming bundles shall be located adjacent to premises positioned as near to the curb or shoulder of the roadway as possible so as not to obstruct the traveled way of vehicles, or obstruct the sidewalk to pedestrian traffic and in no event shall be placed in any gutter, street or highway.

§ 8.26.060. Extra large tree and shrub trimmings too bulky for bundles.¶
Extra large tree and shrub trimmings too large or bulky for bundling shall be collected by the contractor upon request by special arrangement. Such material need not be placed adjacent to the curb whenever the quantity may obstruct sidewalks, and shall be piled neatly within the front yard. In no event shall it be placed in any gutter, street or highway.

§ 8.26.070. Accumulated garden refuse storage limitations.¶
Accumulated garden refuse material may not be kept or stored within the outside frontage of the premises or upon the public right-of-way adjacent to the curb except that material may be placed in the approved location for collection forty-eight hours prior to the regularly scheduled collection period.

§ 8.26.080. Collection fees and service charges—Occupant responsibility.¶
Fees for collection of garden refuse shall be included in the amount of the monthly fee for garbage collection as established by the contract for collection and disposal of garbage. Material too large or bulky for containers or bundling shall be collected by the contractor upon request by the occupant or person in possession, charge or control of any premises subject to appropriate charges not to exceed the limit specified in the contract for collection and disposal of garbage.
