10.04.010 - Definition.

The term "vehicle" as used in this chapter means a device in, upon, or by which any person or property is or may be propelled, moved or drawn upon the highway.

10.04.020 - Curb painted red—No parking at any time.

It is unlawful to park a vehicle upon any portion of any street within the city within the area designated by red paint upon the adjacent curb.

10.04.030 - Curb painted green—Permitted time designated.

It is unlawful to park for a period of longer than the designated minutes adjacent to any curb within the city limits where the adjacent curb is painted green.

10.04.040 - Curb painted yellow—Loading and unloading only.

It is unlawful for any vehicle to park within any area adjacent to any curb where said curb is painted yellow, except for the purpose of unloading or loading persons or property and, in the event of said loading or unloading, the vehicle shall not park for a period longer than thirty minutes.

10.04.050 - Curb painted white—Loading or unloading passengers.

It is unlawful for any vehicle to park within any area adjacent to any curb where said curb is painted white, except for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers, or depositing mail in an adjacent box, and said vehicle shall not park for longer than fifteen minutes.

10.04.060 - Unlawful where "No Parking" signs are erected.

It is unlawful to park any vehicle upon any portion of any street within the city limits where the police department of the city, by appropriate signs, has indicated that no parking shall be permitted.

10.04.065 - Parking in designated parking spaces.

All vehicles shall park within designated parking spaces where the same have been marked with white lines on public streets designating a parking space by the city. A violation of this section is an infraction.

10.04.070 - Penalty for violation.

The penalty for violation of any section in this article is an infraction as prescribed in Section 1.08.030 of the Ione Municipal Code.
