12.24.010 - Economic development.¶
A. The board of supervisors of the county of Imperial declares its intent to and does adopt the provisions of Article 7.5 of Chapter 5 of Part 2 of Division 2 of Title 3 of the California Government Code (comprising Sections 25515 through and including 25515.5) to be effective in the county of Imperial, as said statutes are presently enacted or as amended in the future.
B. The board of supervisors finds that the county owns property which, if permitted to be developed between private enterprises and commercial, industrial and cultural uses, would provide a means to produce additional revenue sources for the benefit of the county and aid the economic well-being of the county generally.
C. The board finds that such uses of county-owned property are justified because the county is faced with critical revenue shortages, a need to provide basic and economic public services, and a need to take special measures to enhance economic development in the county.
