12.08.010 - Authority.¶
Pursuant to Section 8312 of the Streets and Highways Code of the state of California, the Imperial County board of supervisors may abandon all or part of a street, highway or public service easement as such terms are defined in Sections 8306 and 8308 of the Streets and Highways Code.

12.08.020 - Procedures.¶
Procedure for the initiation and conduct of proceedings to abandon a street, highway or public service easement shall be governed by Part 3 of Division 9 of the California Streets and Highways Code of the state of California.

12.08.030 - Fees.¶
Where abandonment proceedings are sought to be initiated by petition pursuant to Section 8320 of the Streets and Highways Code of the state of California, such petition shall be accompanied by a fee to defray the expenses of investigations, mailings, publications and postings. The fee shall be in the amount of two hundred dollars ($200.00), and shall be payable to the county road commissioner.
Further, if a public hearing is scheduled, an additional fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be required of the applicant, payable to the county road commissioner prior to the date of the scheduled hearing, to defray the cost of such hearing.
