§ 10.58.010. Truck routes established.

The following streets within the City are designated as truck routes:

Street Limits
Palm Avenue East City limits to Third Street
Imperial Beach Boulevard East City limits to Third Street
13th Street Palm Avenue to south City limits
9th Street Palm Avenue to Imperial Beach Blvd.
3rd Street Palm Avenue to Imperial Beach Blvd.

§ 10.58.020. Use of streets by trucks in excess of five tons prohibited.

A. It is unlawful for any person to operate a vehicle of five gross tons or over on any street within the City which is not designated a "truck route" in this chapter.

B. Exception. This section shall not be construed to prohibit ingress or egress to streets off the designated truck routes for the purpose of making pickups or deliveries of goods, wares or merchandise from or for the purpose of delivering material to be used in the actual or bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling or reconstruction of any building or structure upon such restricted streets for which a building permit has been obtained. This section shall not apply to passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the State PUC or any vehicle owned by a public utility necessarily in use in the construction, installation or repair of any public utility.

§ 10.58.030. Penalty.

A violation of the provisions of this chapter is an infraction.
