§ 2.52.010. City Clerk's bond—Amount.

The amount of the bond of the City Clerk shall be established when the City Clerk enters the duties of the office and executes a bond based on (1) a reasonable amount recommended by the City Attorney; and (2) fixed by the City Council by resolution. The amount of the bond may be changed during the City Clerk's term of office. The bond shall be drawn to include the offices of Assessor, Deputy Tax Collector and Deputy License Collector.

§ 2.52.020. Deputy City Clerk—Appointment conditions, bond and salary.

If the City Clerk appoints any deputy or clerk, such appointment must be made with the approval of the City Council, and a bond shall be furnished by such deputy or clerk based on (1) a reasonable amount recommended by the City Attorney; and (2) fixed by the City Council by resolution. The amount of the bond may be changed during the deputy or clerk's term of office. The salary of such deputy or clerk, if any are appointed, shall be fixed by the City Council.

§ 2.52.030. City Treasurer's bond—Amount.

The amount of the bond of the City Treasurer shall be established when the City Treasurer enters the duties of the office and executes a bond based on (1) a reasonable amount recommended by the City Attorney; and (2) fixed by the City Council by resolution. If the duties of any office other than Treasurer are required of the City Treasurer by the City Council, then the bond shall be drawn to include such offices. The amount of the bond may be changed during the City Treasurer's term of office.

§ 2.52.040. Deputy City Treasurer—Appointment conditions, bond and salary.

If the City Treasurer appoints any deputy or clerk, such appointment must be made with the approval of the City Council, and a bond shall be furnished by such deputy or clerk based on (1) a reasonable amount recommended by the City Attorney; and (2) fixed by the City Council by resolution. The amount of the bond may be changed during the deputy or clerk's term of office. The salary of such deputy or clerk, if any are appointed, shall be fixed by the City Council.

§ 2.52.050. Chief of Police—Bond—Amount and persons covered.

The bond of the Chief of Police shall be the sum of $1,000.00, and shall be drawn to include the office of tax collector and license collector. The Chief of Police may, with the approval of the City Council, appoint the chief clerk as deputy or clerk appointed by the Chief of Police, with the consent and approval of the City Council, performing the duties of his or her office, or ex-officio office, shall furnish bonds in amounts to be fixed by the City Council. The salaries of such deputies and clerks, if any are appointed, shall be fixed by the City Council.

§ 2.52.060. Types and amounts of bonds—Premiums paid by City.

The bonds provided for in this chapter shall be surety company bonds, unless in any instance a personal bond is allowed and approved by all members of the City Council, and provided, furthermore, that any personal bond shall be double the amount of the surety company bond. The amount of any such bond may be increased or decreased at any time by a resolution of the City Council. The City shall pay the premiums on such surety bonds.
