Farmersville Municipal Code Ch. 10.74 Off-Highway Use of Motorcycles and Motor Bikes

It is unlawful for any person to ride or operate any motorcycle or motor bike of any kind of any kind on any private property or unoccupied public property within one-quarter mile of any school, hospital, convalescent home or residential area herein defined except upon a regularly established road, driveway or parking lot appurtenant to a structure on that property. A residential area within the meaning of this section means any area one quarter of a mile in depth abutting a public or private road and one quarter of a mile in length measured along such road on which contains any apartment house, condominium, multiple unit dwelling structure or four or more single-family residences in any kind or combination.

Excepted as hereinafter provided, it is unlawful for any person to drive any motor vehicle in or upon any property open to and intended for the use by the public or the patrons of adjacent business, commercial, industrial, entertainment or recreational establishments, or public facilities of any kind without having in his possession a valid operator's license issued in accordance with the California Vehicle Code or wilful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property. This section shall not apply to any property or portion thereof being used for a special event with the expressed permission of the owner or their representative and from which the public has been temporarily excluded, nor shall it apply to a public highway or to any act prohibited by the vehicle code or other laws of the state of California.
