Sec. 26-27. - For tree or shrub improvements.

It shall be unlawful and an infraction for any person to make any tree or shrub improvement within any public property without having first obtained a written permit therefor from the department of public works.

Sec. 26-28. - For destroying, defacing or mutilating trees or shrubs.

It shall be unlawful and an infraction for any person to destroy, deface or mutilate any tree or shrub in and along any public street without having first obtained a written permit therefor from the department of public works.

Sec. 26-29. - For attaching ropes, signs, etc., to tree or tree guard.

It shall be unlawful and an infraction for any person to attach or place any rope, wire, sign, poster, handbill or other thing to or on any tree growing in any public street or any guard or protection of such tree without having first obtained a written permit therefor from the department of public works.

Sec. 26-30. - For permitting electric wires to come in contact with trees.

It shall be unlawful and an infraction for any person to cause or permit any wire charged with electricity to come in contact with any tree growing in or upon any public street, without first having obtained a written permit therefor from the department of public works.

Sec. 26-31. - Authority to issue.

The director of public works is authorized to issue the permits required in this article.

Sec. 26-32. - Form; term.

Every permit granted under the provisions of this article shall specifically prescribe the work to be done under it and shall expire sixty (60) days from its date.
