East Palo Alto Municipal Code Art. VIII Vending Machines

The provisions of this article and chapter shall, unless otherwise indicated, apply only to those vending machines which either dispense readily perishable food or which combine or compound bulk food ingredients into unit servings for distribution in single service containers. The provisions of this article and chapter shall not, unless otherwise indicated, apply to vending machines which dispense, exclusively, bottled drinks, gum, candy, or other items found by the city health officer not to be readily perishable.

The city health officer may inspect any vending machine to which this article and chapter apply to determine whether it conforms with the provisions hereof. In connection with such inspection, the city health officer may require the owner or operator of a vending machine or their representatives to accompany him on such inspection.

Every vending machine or, where several are owned or operated by the same person, firm or corporation located contiguously, group thereof shall bear conspicuously in two-inch block letters the name, address and telephone number of the operator thereof.
