8.12.230 - Location.

No itinerant restaurant shall operate except in a location approved in writing by the city health officer. No location shall be approved unless it is either on the site of a temporary event, such as a carnival, festival, circus, or other attraction, or on public property, when the public entity owning such property has consented to the presence of the itinerant restaurant.

8.12.240 - Submission of plan to city health officer.

To obtain the approval required in Section 8.12.230, the owner or operator of an itinerant restaurant shall submit to the city health officer plans detailing the proposed location of the itinerant restaurant, a list of the foods and food products to be served, a description of the facilities and food equipment of the itinerant restaurant, and such other information as the city health officer may request.

8.12.250 - Inspection and termination.

Upon receipt of the data required of the owner or operator of an itinerant restaurant under Section 8.12.240, the city health officer shall inspect both the proposed location and the itinerant restaurant itself. The city health officer may thereafter approve or deny the proposed location or may approve it conditionally upon the owner s or operator's restricting preparation and service of foods and food products to those determined to be appropriate to the facilities of the itinerant restaurant.

8.12.260 - Duration.

No itinerant restaurant shall operate in any location for more than fifteen (15) days in a single calendar year unless it complies with state health laws and regulations and the provisions of this code concerning restaurants.
